Johna and Paul: A Love Story in Songs
John and Paul was an interesting read. I have already read Bob Spitz’s book about the Beatles, but this one focuses mainly on Paul McCartney and John Lennon. There were several things I had never heard before. I don’t know the source of much of the information the author presents, and since he doesn’t claim to have spoken with Paul, I wonder if some of it is speculative.
Nonetheless, this book is worth reading.
How to Be Like Walt: Capturing the Disney Magic Every Day of Your Life
This is an excellent book about Walt Disney and his development and leadership of the Disney brand. I have read this a couple of times and definitely recommend reading it.
Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling
This book is for both the believer that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and for those wishing to know more. Bushman neither slanders nor elevates Joseph Smith’s life history. This isn’t my first time through this book and somehow I found myself asking questions about Joseph Smith this time around. Bushman allowed room for both spiritual experiences and Joseph as a man. If you are wanting to know a considerable amount about the life of Joseph this book will provide you with that and more.
1776
I am quite interested in the birth of our nation and I enjoy David McCullough’s writing, so this is a good book!
The Beatles
This is a well-written biography of the Beatles. If you’re a Beatles fan then I highly recommend it.
